We recently aired a livestream of the Commencement Mass for Mount Saint Mary’s University here in Los Angeles.
Project Goals
Our client wanted to expand their livestream offerings, but their vendor focused on large events and wasn’t cost-effective. We provided a budget-friendly, multi-camera solution.
Interaction
Unlike webinars or our option “The Show”, this event was designed to be view-only. Comments were disabled and viewers were only met with options for technical support just in case their stream wasn’t working on their particular system.
Viewer Engagement and Graphical Elements
Mount Saint Mary’s University needed a multi-camera setup with lower thirds and informational graphics for their Mass. We collaborated with their marketing team to design overlays, following their visual guide for graphic display timing. And our three camera system provided a visually interesting experience.
Performance Metrics
While Vimeo tracked viewership analytics, the key metric was the emotional impact on students’ families and friends watching live. Faculty received numerous emails afterward, thanking them for delivering such an enjoyable broadcast.
Results and Impact
Mount Saint Mary’s University was thrilled with our broadcast and excited to be able to offer more livestream experiences to its students and families. We look to our next event with them this October and many more throughout the upcoming school year.
